Morocco - The Netherlands
Friendly meeting
Start: Wednesday, May 31, 2017

Morocco takes the Netherlands into a friendly match where both teams will try to refine their shape before the qualifying for the World Cup 2018 next month.

The focus of this meeting will definitely fall on the Dutch team, which is starting a new era under the leadership of Dick Advokat. So far, however, the "orange" have suffered a series of failures, which put them in fourth place in the qualification group after the teams of France, Sweden and Bulgaria.

The first qualifying match for the Netherlands will play against Luxembourg on June 9th, and before that, they will make another control against Cote d'Ivoire on 4th June in Rotterdam.

Morocco, on the other hand, will have a great chance to test their team against a team like the Holandi before qualifying for the African Nations Cup against Cameroon next month.

The last match between Morocco and the Netherlands was played in 1999, in a friendly match when Morocco surprised the Netherlands by 2-1. The only official meeting between the two teams was the 1994 World Cup, when the Netherlands won 2-1.

For the upcoming match, Advocate has called Wesley Snyder and Arien Robben, and even Jermaine Lens. On paper, Morocco has no chance against the selection of the Netherlands, all the more so that the Advocate's players will want to regain confidence.
