Switzerland - Belarus

Switzerland - Belarus
Friendly meeting
Start: Thursday, June 1, 2017

The relentless Swiss team takes Belarus into friendly control ahead of the upcoming qualifying matches for the World Cup 2018. Switzerland scored a 100% success at the start of the qualifiers and signaled how serious Vladimir Petkovic's intentions were for the World Cup.

Switzerland are the leader in their Qualifying Group B, and have managed to beat even the favorite team of Portugal. In three of the matches, the team missed a single goal, which speaks of their well-established defense line, and at the same time the attack succeeded in realizing two or more goals in four of the past five matches.

Belarus can not boast such achievements. The team failed to win any of their matches in Group A, for the last time they got a sound slap from Sweden 4-0. After all, they have hardly hoped for anything more, since their chances of being ranked among teams such as France, Sweden, the Netherlands and Bulgaria were clear from the start.

The only two matches between Switzerland and Belarus were played during the European Football Championship 2010 qualifiers, when Switzerland over Belarus in both matches after 2-0 in Bern and 1-2 in Belarus.

The bad form of Belarus is the main factor that shapes the Swiss victory to just 1.35, which is not very realistic for a friendly match. The Over 2.5 goals option is far better and is worth it.
